About the Event:

The symposium will higlight the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) guidance on the reentry population that impacts criminal justice, human service, and real estate professionals. The guidance addresses how the discriminatory effects and disparate treatment methods of proof apply in Fair Housing Act cases. A housing provider cannot deny rent or renewal of a lease based on an individual’s criminal history. Learn more about how this guidance can create more housing opportunities for the reentry population.
