Join us on April 28, 2017 for our Fair Housing and Reentry Symposium that will take place at Community College of Philadelphia.
Please join the Fair Housing Rights Center of Southeastern PA at our professional symposium on Fair Housing and Reentry: A Review of Civil Rights Tools that Prevent the Misuse of Criminal Records. This event is designed to teach housing providers, social service providers, non-profits and other agencies about the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) guidance on the reentry population and how it impacts criminal justice, human service, and real estate professionals. The guidance addresses how the discriminatory effects and disparate treatment methods of proof apply in Fair Housing Act cases.
The event will take place at Community College of Philadelphia (1700 Spring Garden, Philadelphia, PA 19130) from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Winnet Student Life Building, Great Hall.
The event will feature knowledgeable speakers, such as Judge Luis Felipe Restrepo , along with presentations on reentry, criminal justice, and housing.
Agencies interested in having a resource table must pay $50 per resource table. The $50 fee includes registration of one representative and one table per agency. If an agency rents a resource table and wants to send more than one representative to the Symposium, it must pay $25 per additional representative.
